3D Space Tank / X-Scape is a Shooting game. Shooting games present a world in which the character must shoot their way out of dangerous situations. They provide the player with an array of weapons tailored to specific tasks. This unavoidably involves a combination of fisticuffs and gun based fighting that dictates the violent nature of these experiences. Beneath this harsh exterior though is often an intricate tactile game - and this is usually what drives the player.

What Goes Around, Comes Around - a review in the form of a short story. Returning from a decades-long tour of duty, a veteran expects to find great changes but instead finds that the world of today is a very familiar place.

Prey 2 is being developed by Human Head, and marks a clear departure from the first game. Alien worlds reminiscent of Blade Runner and a range of AI behaviours that react to your strategy suggest that Prey 2 could be an FPS with some interesting organic RPG elements.

For gamers "of a certain age" playing 3D Space Tank is an immediately familiar experience, albeit one that has taken a retro premise and overhauled it with the resources that modern gaming technology brings to the table.
