EA Sports Active More Workouts is a Improvement game available on the Wii. It can be played in Thirdperson Competitive modes.

EA Sports Active More Workouts is a Improvement game. Self improvement games tap into the popular trend in exercise, workouts and therapy. Experiences as diverse as Brain Training on Nintendo DS and Wii-Fit on the Nintendo Wii have popularised the idea that games can be about more than just having fun - they can improve your brain, body and even mental outlook on life.

EA Sports Active More Workouts can be played in a Thirdperson mode. Third Person games view the world from over the right shoulder of the character being controlled. This enables you to see the character you are controlling as well as their surrounds. Although not as immersive as first person, third person games enable more complex moves and interactions with the environment.

EA Sports Active More Workouts can be played in a Competitive mode. Competitive Multiplayer games provide experiences where players compete against each other and the computer. Obviously lending itself to sports and team games, these competitive engagements have also dominated the shooting and fighting genres because of the direct combat and expertise involved in each. Although these games were originally played in a split screen style, more recently they are played online via services such as PlayStation Network, Xbox Live and the Nintendo Wireless Connection.

Fit Gamer review Thu, 21 Jan 2010

EA Sports Active More Workouts builds more fun and variety into what was already a leading fitness game on the Wii. Even with strong competition on Nintendo's Wii console, EA Sports Active More Workouts is the best all round performer for those serious about getting fit.

When I reviewed EA Sports Active earlier in the year it was one of the best fitness games available, complementing Wii Fit's fun and balance oriented approach to exercise with a more intense, cardio based workout.

Frugal Gamer review Fri, 20 Nov 2009

EA Sports Active More Workouts is the first sequel/expansion to be released for EA's Nintendo Wii exercise game. More Workouts continues the trend of more serious and health beneficial actives. This now includes clear instruction on performance, feedback on technique and reports of calories burned in real time. The new Six-Week Challenge, Full Body Circuit Workout Routines and Warm up and Cool down exercises ensure a rounded workout. Add in the enhanced Personal Trainer, Track Your Journey and Workout Your Way modes and you have a tool that can be shaped to fit your individual needs.

EA Sports Active on the Nintendo Wii established itself as the fitness experience for those on the more serious end of the health regimes. This is built on the fact that it is developed in collaboration with fitness experts. The driving force has been to create an experience that would hold its own in a gym setting as well as being able to accommodate in the lounge.
