God of War III on OST PS3

God of War III Screen Shots

God of War III is a Fighting game available on the OST PS3. It can be played in Thirdperson Singleplayer modes.

God of War III is a Fighting game. Fighting games revolve around the interaction of two or more characters in some form of physical combat. Players learn to control characters through either memorisation of button combinations to access more advance moves, or by their reactions and accurate timing.

God of War III can be played in a Thirdperson mode. Third Person games view the world from over the right shoulder of the character being controlled. This enables you to see the character you are controlling as well as their surrounds. Although not as immersive as first person, third person games enable more complex moves and interactions with the environment.

God of War III can be played in a Singleplayer mode. Single Player Campaign games focus on one player's experience. Rather than collaborate with other players either locally or online, players progress alone. The campaign style of gameplay offers a connected series of challenges to play through. These chapters work together to tell a story through which players progress. Single player games are able to focus on one experience of a scenario, so that it is usually a richer, more visceral game.

Soundtrack Gamer review Wed, 30 Jun 2010

Replicating the epic majesty of the Kratos' swan-song, the God of War 3 soundtrack is full of drama. However, matching the operatics of the game doesn't translate as well into something purely for listening. The orchestral noise level and the lack of diversity makes this oddly understated.

It really kicks off in style though. The sweeping orchestral moves of Revenge Falling and the slow building voices of the choir make for a happily overblown track that sets the atmosphere perfectly. The moment when the voices all scream down reminds me of Wagner's Das Rheingold. There's nowhere near that level of complexity here, but the very fact it reminds me of such an incredible work gives you an idea of this Soundtrack's ambition.

Returning Gamer review Sat, 02 Jan 2010

God of War 3 is more Return of the Jedi than Return of the King. For returning gamers like me, who remember Athenian games on the Spectrum, this is a wonderfully up-scaled version of those ambitious little titles.

Bayonetta, a darling of critics everywhere, left me cold. I was pinning my hopes on God of War 3 to re-ignite my thirst for the visceral hack and slash genre popularised by Dungeons and Dragons, Golden Axe and Devil May Cry.
