Lost Planet 2 is a Shooting game available on the PS3 360.

Lost Planet 2 is a Shooting game. Shooting games present a world in which the character must shoot their way out of dangerous situations. They provide the player with an array of weapons tailored to specific tasks. This unavoidably involves a combination of fisticuffs and gun based fighting that dictates the violent nature of these experiences. Beneath this harsh exterior though is often an intricate tactile game - and this is usually what drives the player.

Lost Planet 2 PS3 is bigger than the first, but feels devoid of any interesting roles to play. Capcom have made a game that revisits only a few ideas from the original - the result is a sequel that needs a healthy shot of substance to flesh out its set piece battles and cooperative play.

When the original Lost Planet arrived I remember thinking as I stomped around in the snowy wastelands in my mechanised armour that the next generation had truly arrived. Lost Planet 2 is again set on the planet E.D.N. III and once again features Snow Pirates, Vital Suits, Akrid and NEVEC, but right from the beginning it's a very different game that the original.

Lost Planet 2 is far from perfect, but it aims high and delivers a multiplayer experience that is rare these days. Anyone with three friends to play through this with should forgive any shortcomings and jump right in.

Capcom have put a lot of work into the sequel to Lost Planet, so much so that it's almost an entirely different game. Lost Planet 2 offers impressive four-player online co-op, strong multiplayer, countless unlockables, super-stellar visuals and plenty of pizzazz.
