We know it can be a daunting world to get invovled in, so here is our bluffer's guide to getting started with video games.

Co-operative multiplayer games let you bring a bunch of friends along while you work through the main story of the game. Although a lot of games let you play together in teams, only those that provide a bespoke campaigns for two or more players to play together are really considered to be true co-operative experiences. These games offen rely on players working together to be able to solve puzzles, beat the bad guys and generally progress.

Depending on the style of game you are playing, the extra players can help by triggering switches or with collecting tokens or by simply providing more fire power. Co-operative games sometimes provide the opportunity to play with a computer partner if no one else is available to play, the player can then switch between characters to solve the puzzle and progress.
