Game People runs on the blood sweat and tears of a trusty bunch of volunteers and committed individuals.

This includes the following roles. Some of which are paid on a freelance basis.

Editor

This is a paid position with the following responsibilities:

• Responsible for final edits, publishing and scheduling of each review/preview/news item.
• Responsible for developing new Columnists.
• Responsible for maintaining and communicating house-style and ethos.
• Responsible for acquiring and distributing review code.
• Responsible for establishing content agreement with each Columnist.

Assistant Editors

One editor for each of the four categories Family, Thinking, Artistic, Specialist and Hobbyist. This is a paid position with the following responsibilities:

• Responsible for quarterly audit of Columnists for their clarity of niche angle, quality and branding.
• Responsible for providing a monthly feedback email with advice to each Columnists in their category.
• Responsible for working with Editor to develop new Columnists in their category.
• Responsible for identifying the games to focus the Columnists and Neditor on each month.
• Responsible for monthly Press Releases highlighting new notable creative videogame responses from their Game People columnists.

News Editor

This is a paid position with the following responsibilities:

• Responsible for publishing three news items per week.
• Responsible for application of house-style and ethos to news posts.
• Works with Editor and Assistant Editor to develop news coverage in relation to review/preview/article content.

Podcast Editor

This is a paid position with the following responsibilities:

• Responsible for publishing a weekly podcast.
• Responsible for working with Assistant Editor to identify which games to focus each podcast on.
• Responsible for pre-recording show notes.

Columnists

This is a paid position with the following responsibilities:

• Responsible for creating their niche perspective with Editor/Assistant Editor.
• Responsible for writing minimum of two reviews a month for their column. This involves maintaining a list of upcoming reviews, and requesting review code as required.
• Responsible for writing minimum of two reviews a month for their column.
• Responsible for promotion of their column via N4G, Reddit, Digg and cross-publishing to their own/other blogs.

Proof Readers

This is a voluntary position with the following responsibilities:

• Responsible for checking reviews/previews/news/articles from the preview area.
• Choose a page five days in future then email changes with filename in subject, and a list of each error (old, new, change) in the body.

Community Promoters

This is a voluntary position with the following responsibilities:

• Responsible for creating interactions between Game People's content and related forum communities. Three forum posts a week.
• Marketing three Game People reviews/news/articles a week to social bookmarking sites - N4G, Digg, Reddit.
• Supporting other member's posts to blogs, social bookmarking and networking sites.
• Responsible for responding to comments on Game People, either themselves or forwarding to the relevant Columnist or Assistant Editor.
