Today Rebecca is:

It's been a little while since I've visited these shores with tails of music and song and videogames. But behold, I return.

Umm, yeah. Not quite sure where that came from, but needless to say I'm super excited about my new show for Game People, which I'm just putting the final touches and last minute tinkering on. I'm going back to my roots - back to the eclectic mix of boys and girls where the fun all started.

I'm going to be telling my story right from the beginning. Maybe you've been listening since day dot, or maybe you've only just joined the crew, either way now I want to let you in on the whole sordid (well not so sordid actually) tale.

Each episode I'll be picking one of my videogame songs and telling you how it all came about, and how people reacted to it - which was often more entertaining than the music itself. Then, to round the show off I'll be pulling out my guitar (and assorted other instruments) for an impromptu live version of each song.

I can't wait to spill the beans, and finally take some time to try and figure out what just happened, these last few years. Come along for the ride, if you will, I think it's going to be fun.

Speak soon, Rebecca.

With so many different perspectives it can be hard to know where to start - a little like walking into a crowded pub. Sorry about that.

But so far we've not found a way to streamline our review output - there's basically too much of it. So, rather than dilute things for newcomers we have decided to live with the hubbub while helping new readers find the columnists they will enjoy.

What sort of gamer are you?

Our columnists each focus on a particular perspective and fall into one of the following types of gamers:
