Augmented Reality (AR) Games is a Minigames game available on the 3DS. It can be played in Augmented Firstperson 3d modes.

Augmented Reality (AR) Games is a Minigames game. Mini games come in a variety of shapes and sizes. What unites the genre is the speed with which players can pickup the games and the relativley short time requried to complete a level or two.

Augmented Reality (AR) Games can be played in a Augmented mode. Augmented Reality games overlay the play space on a real time view of the world. A camera usually feeds in the view and the player is tasked with playing through the environment.

Augmented Reality (AR) Games can be played in a Firstperson mode. First Person games view the world from the eyes of the in-game character. You don't see the character themselves apart from their hands, gun or possibly feet as in Mirror's Edge. Because of the imediacy of the experience and sheer volume of visual information the player is offered First Person games lend themselves to the shooting genre. The FPS view enables players to immerse themselves in the experience and react quicker to events in the game. Other games have used a first person view to deliver an unusual perspective on an old genre - Mirror's Edge for example delivers a Platforming genre through a First Person view.

Augmented Reality (AR) Games can be played in a 3d mode. These types of games use shuttered, polarised or even red/green glasses technology to create a 3D visual experience. This not only adds depth and changes how the game looks, but also opens up new camera views and play styles. The PS3 supports 3DTV's and the 3DS provides a top screen that enables glasses free 3D output.
