Forza 3 adds ten Autoweek picked cars to the starting grid. These crafted virtual versions of the world's most drooled over cars are more than enough to entice you back onto the track.

I was dreading this. I was dreading coming back to Forza 3 so much, I'd already written that sentence over and over in my head before I'd downloaded it. It sat on my hard drive, waiting. If digital content could look menacing, this was a slash the seats in the cinema Teddy Boy.

Castle Crashers DLC King Pack introduces two new playable characters and a couple of new pet pods to collect, but even though these two extras make no discernible difference to the game. I still had a great experience playing. Donning my multiplayer headset and mic, I waded in with eyes and ears wide open.

There are multiplayer games that make you wonder why you bother to put your headphones on - the kind of games where the only way to communicate seems to be through continuous verbal abuse. And then there are games that reaffirm your belief that the online community isn't populated entirely by testosterone-fuelled teenagers with anger management issues.

The Call of Duty 5 variety map pack is the first in what will probably be a recurring line of add-ons for the game. I'm generally sceptical about map packs, because they're free on the pc and it seems strange to be paying for something simply because I like to play on a console. However, I was genuinely impressed by this map pack. Although small (three standard maps and one zombie map), it was a lot of fun to play and it got me back into playing the game.

My favourite map is the Nightfire map. It's set in an area of houses, and I think it's the most fun to play. There's a sniper area on either side, with one being hard to defend but with a good view of most of the battlefield. The other sniping area only has one entrance, but only a narrow line of sight. Because there are two, and both have weaknesses, sniping doesn't become crazily overpowered like in other maps. There's also a bunch of different routes through the level, so all the different game types are pretty fun.

With CSI already having spawned games from its Las Vegas and Miami operations it was only a matter of time before the detectives of New York got their own. It's time for you to play as Mac Taylor and Stella Bonasera and solve four typical CSI style murders, with a fifth coming some time in the New Year.

While most modern adventure games have gone down the 3D route, with your character wandering the scene looking for items to interact with, CSI: NY has opted for a static 2D, hand drawn style that looks rather dated. It's not necessarily a bad thing though as just because something looks spectacular certainly doesn't make it a guaranteed winner.
