Domestic Gamer review Wed, 29 Apr 2009

I don't know about anyone else but I hated learning to drive. I was a bit of a Goth in those days and I think my Doc Marten boots seriously hampered my clutch control! I remember my instructor yelling at me on a busy roundabout that I had missed my space to pull out. All very stressful I remember. It's been nearly 20 years since I took my driving test at age 17 and there wasn't even a theory test in those days, just a few questions from the examiner when you got back to the test centre after driving round frozen with fear for the last 45 minutes. I have no idea how I passed because I remember not knowing a single question he asked.

Things are much more stringent these days with everyone having to take their theory test before they can take their practical. When this game first appeared on my desk I thought, well I don't need that I can drive fine thanks! But then I started wondering how much I do know about safe driving? I'm sure I have picked up some terrible habits over the last 20 years.Like what on earth are the correct stopping distances on a motorway? (I think that was one of the questions on my test - which I got wrong!)
