Sid Meier's Pirates! Screen Shots

Sid Meier's Pirates! is a Strategy game available on the Wii. It can be played in Singleplayer modes.

Sid Meier's Pirates! is a Strategy game. Strategy games provide experiences that require quick thinking, and forward planning from the gamer. They combine the unfolding tactics of classic games like chess, with more recent board games such as Risk. Usually focusing on a theatre of war context, players enjoy the tactical overview of the battle these games provide.

Sid Meier's Pirates! can be played in a Singleplayer mode. Single Player Campaign games focus on one player's experience. Rather than collaborate with other players either locally or online, players progress alone. The campaign style of gameplay offers a connected series of challenges to play through. These chapters work together to tell a story through which players progress. Single player games are able to focus on one experience of a scenario, so that it is usually a richer, more visceral game.

hello. guess what? (please stop reading and try to guess -- do not, i repeat do not, allow the title of the review, the words in the url, or the knowledge of why you came to this page in the first place to inform your guesses)... that's right, yet another version of the remake of the 1980s Commodore classic Sid Meier's Pirates! has been made. this time for the Wii.

the main upshot of this is that if you love PC games, but instead of having a PC, have a Wii, and also have loads of patience and love nothing better than having that patience tested over and over again, then good news -- you could be in for a magical Christmas if this ends up under the tree.
