Test Drive Unlimited 2 Screen Shots

Test Drive Unlimited 2 is a Racing game available on the 360. It can be played in Cooperative Singleplayer modes.

Test Drive Unlimited 2 is a Racing game. Racing games, although sometimes seen as a sporting sub category, are a well established video game genre in their own right.

Test Drive Unlimited 2 can be played in a Cooperative mode. Cooperative Multiplayer games provide an experience that is played symaltaneously by multiple players. Unlike the simple arena competitive multiplayer style games where players try to kill the most enemies, true co-operative games are designed to take a group of players through a campaign experience together. This will involve sections where players have to work together to proceed - either from the sheer difficulty as in Halo 3 on 360 or by the design of levels such as LittleBigPlanet on PS3.

Test Drive Unlimited 2 can be played in a Singleplayer mode. Single Player Campaign games focus on one player's experience. Rather than collaborate with other players either locally or online, players progress alone. The campaign style of gameplay offers a connected series of challenges to play through. These chapters work together to tell a story through which players progress. Single player games are able to focus on one experience of a scenario, so that it is usually a richer, more visceral game.

Test Drive Unlimited 2

Test Drive Unlimited 2 injects street racing into a persistent open world. Even for all the success of Burnout Paradise, this more committed approach to a compelling racing environment that lives and breathes is as compelling now as it ever was.

Unlimited returns next year with an array of features to bolster the open world experience and build a stronger community of racers. The world promises to be more alive this time around with dynamically created events and challenges. The game aims to evolve around and respond to the player.

Tech Gamer review Sat, 02 Apr 2011

Test Drive Unlimited 2 is a beautiful sandbox world to explore and share with other players. However, a lack of energy or excitement turns what should be an adrenaline charge through the landscape into a Sunday drive in the country.

Test Drive Unlimited 2 is a free roaming sandbox driving game. You spend your time initially on a full replica of the island of Ibiza, but can earn the right to go to Hawaii. The Hawaiian locale was used in the original game and makes the game feel a little too similar at times.

Race Gamer review Tue, 01 Feb 2011

Test Drive Unlimited 2 is filled with features as my recent hands-on session made clear. The headline though is the online social experience. The game is always online with hundreds of players in the world to race.

The world is constantly populating with challenges. Simply flash your lights at a stranger and you trigger an event. This informal approach to racing, along with more formal race invites as well as side-bets, finally delivers the promises made about fluid gameplay.
