Tron: Evolution is a Platforming game available on the PS3.

Tron: Evolution is a Platforming game. Platform games task you with getting from point A to point B. The world you journey through is usually based on different levels, and populated with enemies, switches and lifts to be negotiated. As you work through each level you pick up various collectables that accrue score, special abilities and access to hidden areas.

Tron: Evolution PS3 extends rather than complements the film, which itself looks to adjunct the original. Somehow though this works so much better than the derrivative film tie-ins I remember from before I returned to gaming.

Tron: Evolution by Propaganda Games is a brand extension of the hit 2010 Disney sequel, Tron Legacy. I specifically use the words Brand Extension and not Film-Tie-In or the Game-of-the-Film because those phrases bring to mind games of years past, games better forgotten; Home Alone, Hudson Hawk, Avatar, Superman Returns and the industry crashing phenomenon that was E.T. for the Atari 2600. As a returning gamer of more than twenty five years I have come to view games based on film franchises with suspicion.

Tron: Evolution creates a muted Parkour playground ripe with possibilities. Its intelligent approach to multiplayer and consistent gameplay elements result in a convincing, and ultimately quite moving, experience.

Tron: Evolution is the adventure-platform game tie-in for the new Tron: Legacy film. Like Assassin's Creed, Mirror's Edge and Prince of Persia, it is heavily influenced by the sport of Parkour/free-running. This is something that sounds a little odd at first, but actually fits the film very well.
