Here's what Noah Rodenbeek drew for my Wii-Sports song, 'Press A'. I hope you like his video game reviews that are not hand drawn - but written one mouse stroke at a time.
More of Noah Rodenbeek's work is on Game People, along with some great Haiku and Theatrical reviews.
And his words about the game... Wii-sports, at its best, is completely engaging and re-playable. Unfortunately, it’s best only comes in the form of a couple of mini-games: Golf and Bowling. The rest of the games are mundane and get old quickly, and sometimes they border on the irritating (I’m looking at you Wii Sports Boxing).
However, as far as Wii games go, I think Wii Sports is probably a top 5 or 10 game. It’s definitely a game that gets turned back on every once in a while, but I don’t think anyone’s going to look back at Sports as Nintendo’s revolutionary moment for the Wii.
Rebecca Mayes writes the Audio Gamer column.
"Recently I jumped into that black hole and found myself lost in a place I don't understand. It is a place full of spectacle and phenomena which feeds my imagination. In many ways I represent all the people who know nothing about games, who are uninspired and uninterested in games."
Here are the games I've been playing recently:

Sorry about that. But so far we've not found a way to streamline our review output - there's basically too much of it. So, rather than dilute things for newcomers we have decided to live with the hubbub while helping new readers find the columnists they will enjoy. |
