Choosing which console to buy is a big decision, and one that only you can make. The right piece of gaming hardware needs to fit your home, your lifestyle, your gaming preference and perhaps most importantly of all your wallet.

Here, we collect together all our writing on each particular console to help you decide which platform may offer games you will enjoy. Although the focus is largley on the latest hardware, we are also building a back catalogue for older machines that can represent excellent value.

Once you've chosen your hardware this serves as a list of our writing about the latest releases on each console. You can also dig out some of the games you've missed, or possible make use of your chosen console's ability to play games from previous generations (Gameboy Advance games on the DS and Gamecube games on the Wii for example).

For more input on the best gaming experiences, why not join us as we highlight the games we enjoy eah week. The Genre section helps you discover new types of games, as well as expanding your library of your favourite types of experiences.
