Today Paul is:
I write family video game reviews. I want to play games with friends and family in the same place, as well as enjoy sharing the experience with my wife and kids. But as well as these there are precious late night gaming moments to fill. Throughout, time is of the essence.
After years writing here there and everywhere, I had something of a Jerry Maguire moment and decided it was time to slow down, write less and get to grips with the real issues of being a family gamer in the UK. So now, rather than running around like a mad thing I stop once a week, brew some good tea and Macbook my way around the highs and lows of my life playing games in a family.
As is true for life as a whole, I experience games uniquely because of who I am, where I've been and what I've done. Highlights so far being life on this British Isle, a childhood in Devon, work as a User Assistance developer, a suspicious but respectful relationship with Christianity and perhaps more than anything else marrying and starting a family with my wife Jo - currently us two, three kids (7,5,2) and Mogg the cat.
Like the other writers on the Game People network, I want to let you into my life in many ways. The writing itself may be primary for some, but just as telling is my twitter feed and facebook profile. My hope is that between us, reader and writer, we can create something interesting, significant and even meaningful. So I want to hear from you with comments, ideas even contributions. However big or small every contribution makes a difference.
Here are my game reviews.
